The handle of faucet lock screw, it is the smallest metallic part in faucet numerous parts.

The screw is usually invisible because it is covered by hot and cold mark or hidden under the handle. Let's just talk a little bit about the heat and cold mark.

Heat and cold mark refers to a small decorative part mounted on the handle. Some are made of metal, and some are made of plastic. This mark has two functions. One is to indicate the direction of cold water and hot water. Another is to play a decorative role. You can plug the screw hole. So the first step in changing the cartridge of the faucet is to remove the hot and cold mark.

Removing the hot and cold mark is the first step in removing the handle.

Locking screw is the main role of the handle firmly fixed in the faucet cartridge, so as not to change over time. Why do some faucets become loose when they are turned on after a short time? And why don't some? There are three factors that can cause the handle to loosen.

1. Cartridge element: faucet cartridge quality is not up to standard. After used some time, the cartridges wear seriously to result in large gap.

2. Handle factor: The screw on the handle has insufficient effective thread and the square hole on the handle is too loose to fit the cartridge stem. Effective thread is insufficient, that is to say the thickness where twists screw place of handle is insufficient, too thin, thread has tooth of 2 annulus grain only. As time went on, it became unbearable.

Another reason is that the square hole on the handle and the square stem on cartridge couldn't cooperate unreasonably, it is too loose. So every switch basically will bear silently by the lock thread on handle.

This situation usually happens on handles of zinc alloy material. Because zinc alloy material itself texture is softer and belongs to the material that corrodes easily, and faucet all USES in high humidity environment.

And the brass material handle won't appear this kind of phenomenon, but the cost of the copper handle is too high, so few is applied.

Lock screw factor:

The thread size of the locking screw is usually M5, which means the diameter of the screw is 5mm.

Material has iron and stainless steel. Iron locking screws are usually black surface treatment, the purpose is to let the screw rot later.
